How do I wash printed shirts?

How to Wash Printed Graphic Tees Without Ruining the Design

Printed graphic tees look best when the artwork stays crisp and the fabric keeps its soft feel. The biggest threats are heat, harsh detergents, and rough washing cycles.

Here’s the straightforward way to wash them:

1. Turn the shirt inside out This protects the print from rubbing against other clothes and the drum.

2. Use cold water only Hot water can crack or fade the print over time. Always select cold.

3. Choose a gentle cycle Delicate or gentle setting is best. Avoid heavy-duty or “normal” cycles.

4. Mild detergent, no bleach or fabric softener A basic, gentle detergent is enough. Bleach and fabric softeners can damage both the print and the fabric.

5. Air dry or low heat Hang to dry whenever possible. If you must use a dryer, choose the lowest heat setting and remove the shirt while it’s still slightly damp.

Extra tip for Tastey Threads tees: Our sueded and crewneck tees are made with higher-quality cotton (190 GSM sueded and heavier crewnecks). Following these steps helps the soft hand-feel and detailed artwork last much longer. The designs are meant to be looked at closely — keep them looking sharp so the little worlds stay visible.

Wash cold. Dry gentle. Wear often.
