Ever see a recipe being executed on your favorite cooking show or simply wake up with the biggest hankering for a dish and decided today was the day you were going to make it--from scratch. That's right, you were actually going to buy the greenest greens, that overseas gourmet cheese 🧀, that tiny bundle of fresh thyme that costs $10. Yup, you were going for the best, you were on a mission and no one was going to stop you. Your culinary genes were activated and you were ready to boldly go where you normally don't--the supermarket.
There you found yourself going up and down each aisle checking off every ingredient on your list, this time the store brand wasn't going to cut it. Only the best went into the shopping cart🛒, and as you were making your way through the supermarket you noticed the state of some fruits or vegetable, some starting to turn a little brown, banana bread brown or maybe some that you felt how on earth was the supermarket even daring to sell that produce or you started to notice other products and thought to yourself how are these companies still in business and who's keeping them operational by buying their products?!
There are some products on shelves that are not the best, they have great packaging, great marketing but when it comes down to it the quality--it's not there. There isn't much care put into them to warrant any consumption. As Tastey Threads was taking form, one of my goals was to provide fun, artistic designs on great apparel and make it fashionable. As I was sourcing a print and fulfillment partner, I came across many candidates and placed tons of sample orders only to be disappointed at the quality of the print, the quality of the material, the lack of quality. I consider this phase of Tastey Threads the same as going down that proverbial aisle where you're searching for the best ingredients. You're turning over the bananas making sure they're not bruised, making sure the contents of the package aren't expired.
When I finally found the provider I've partnered with, it was like flipping over that cake 🎂 and having it come out perfectly. The print quality exceeded my expectations, the quality of the garments was awesome, they use eco-friendly and recycled materials, use non-hazardous, toxin-free, and biodegradable ink. I wanted to make sure that what I was creating was something I would be proud to serve you, and I am.
With much love! Ingrid, Founder of Tastey Threads With Tastey Threads, you can have your cake and wear it too!
